Irise bottle
University of Limerick, 2023, Digital Modelling And Prototyping
Brief: Design a shampoo bottle based on a famous designer/brand. Perform an aesthetic analysis, create a series of iterative sketches exploring the form, using 3D software develop a 3D model and export it for print.
The IRISE bottle was developed as a part of a 3d modelling course. I was tasked to develop a shampoo bottle inspired by a style/aesthetic of a known designer.
As my inspiration I chose the work of Iris van Herpen, one of my favourite designers who incorporates new technologies into the world of fashion design.
The Process of the bottle development started with an in depth brand aesthetic analysis which resulted in discovering a series of design objectives divided into four brand pillars: dance, architecture, nature and art.
This theme identification resulted in concept sketch development exploring the shape language of the Maison as well as the popular shapes used in shampoo packaging.
After finalising the design concept I moved to transferring my idea into a 3D model and preparation for print.
